The Baglamukhi Yantra is regarded as one of the most auspicious for miraculous success and all-round progress. According to tradition, in the Satyug a fierce storm arose, and to counter its effects, Lord Vishnu performed intense tapasya by the Haridra lake in the Saurashtra region. From this lake, Devi Baglamukhi is said to have manifested. Haridra means turmeric — which is why Maa Baglamukhi’s garments and pujan items are traditionally all yellow.

The Science

The Sacred Science of Stambhan Shakti

What Is Stambhan Shakti?

Maa Baglamukhi, the eighth of the Dasha Mahavidyas, is believed to hold complete command over stambhan — the extraordinary power to still, silence and neutralise negative forces. Chanting her sacred mantras is considered a subtle spiritual science that sages, kings and rulers have practised for thousands of years.

The Science of the Beej Mantra (Hleem)

The foundation of Baglamukhi sadhana is her single-syllable beej mantra "Hleem". According to tantric science, continuous chanting of this specific sound is believed to activate the Vishuddha Chakra (throat chakra). This is why devoted sadhaks are said to receive Vaak Siddhi from Maa Baglamukhi — the power to accomplish tasks through speech.

"

The mantra itself is the Devi. One who masters the vibration of her name is said to take the reins of their own destiny.

Mantra Efficacy

Regular mantra jaap is traditionally believed to bring victory over adversaries, mental peace and stability in life.

Enemy Stambhan

Devotees traditionally seek to still the ill will and opposition of enemies.

Legal Victory

Sought for favourable outcomes in legal disputes and business conflicts.

Self-Confidence

Believed to awaken inner dormant power and strengthen willpower.

Financial Stability

Traditionally sought to remove obstacles in business and career for steady growth.

Rules

Precautions During Sadhana

Observe brahmacharya (celibacy and self-discipline).

Wear yellow clothes during sadhana.

Eat only one meal a day.

Avoid cutting hair during the sadhana period.

Chant the mantra between 10 PM and 4 AM.

Wrap the lamp wick in turmeric or yellow thread and let it dry before use.

The 36-syllable mantra is traditionally considered the most fruitful for sadhana.

Sadhana should ideally be done alone, in a temple, in the Himalayas, or with a siddha guru.

Method

The Correct Chanting Method

1

Peet Tattva (Yellow Element)

Maa Baglamukhi holds a special affinity for the colour yellow. Wear clean yellow clothes and offer yellow flowers and yellow sweets.

2

Brahma Muhurat

The Devi’s energy is said to be at its peak between 4 AM and 6 AM. Sit on a yellow woollen aasan facing east (for general success) or north (for victory).

3

Haldi Mala

A turmeric (haldi) mala of 108 beads is essential for Baglamukhi jaap. It is believed to align your energy with the planet Jupiter and the Devi.

4

Siddha Sankalp

Before starting the jaap, take water in your right hand and make a clear sankalp — stating your name, gotra and purpose. Without sankalp, the energy is believed to remain unfocused.

Method

How To Attain Mantra Siddhi

The pujan yantra of Shri Baglamukhi used in sadhana is traditionally made from split chickpea (chana dal) flour. If possible, it may also be engraved on a copper or silver plate.

Spiritual Safety: Rules of Sadhana

Avoid Ego-Driven Intentions

Maa Baglamukhi is regarded as the deity of justice. Using the mantra to harm an innocent person or for unfair gain is believed to invite serious karmic consequences. Always pray for the "triumph of truth" (Satyameva Jayate).

Maintain Strict Purity (Brahmacharya)

Physical and mental purity is considered essential during a 7-day or 11-day anushthan. This is believed to help the nervous system handle the high energy generated by the mool mantra without strain.
