Online Baglamukhi Puja with Live Video – How It Works for Devotees Abroad

How devotees in the USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia and elsewhere can take part in a Baglamukhi puja or havan at Nalkheda by live video — booking, time zones, sankalp and prasad.

Many devotees of Maa Baglamukhi live far from Nalkheda — in the USA, the UK, Canada, the UAE, Australia, Singapore and elsewhere. Travelling to Madhya Pradesh for every sankalp is not always possible. Online participation lets you take part in a puja or havan performed at Nalkheda by Acharya Rajguru Ji, with your sankalp spoken in your name, while you watch and pray from home by live video.

This guide explains how it works step by step, how to handle time zones, what you need, and what to ask before you book. We also want to be honest about what online participation can and cannot be.

What "online puja" means here

Online puja does not mean a pre-recorded video or an automated service. It means:

  • The ritual is actually performed at Nalkheda by Acharya Rajguru Ji (and, where needed, other pandits).
  • Your sankalp is spoken in your name — with your gotra if you know it — at the start of the ritual.
  • You watch live by video call and can pray along, follow the mantras and, where guided, make symbolic offerings at home.

It is the same ritual a family attending in person would join. The difference is only that you are present through a screen.

Step-by-step: how it works

1. Send a WhatsApp message

Message Acharya Rajguru Ji at +91 8959182032. Include:

  • Your full name and the names of family members joining the sankalp.
  • Your gotra, if known (it is fine if you do not know it).
  • The country and city you live in, and your time zone.
  • A short description of your sankalp.
  • Preferred dates.

WhatsApp works internationally and is the simplest way to stay in touch across time zones.

2. Discuss the suitable ritual

Rajguru Ji will listen to your situation and suggest the ritual that is appropriate — for example a Baglamukhi Havan, mantra jaap or a longer anushthan. He will explain what it involves and how long it will take.

3. Agree the date, time and dakshina

Together you will fix the date and muhurat, and confirm the dakshina and exactly what it includes. Our article on Baglamukhi Havan cost in Nalkheda explains what usually shapes the dakshina. Ask how payment from abroad is accepted — [TODO: confirm accepted international payment methods].

4. Test the video link

Before the day, agree which app will be used for the live video and do a short test if possible — [TODO: confirm which video platform is used for live participation]. Check that your internet connection is stable and your device is charged.

5. Join on the day

At the agreed time, join the video call. The ritual begins with sankalp in your name. You can sit before a small lamp at home, keep a photo of Maa Baglamukhi, and pray along. Rajguru Ji may guide you on simple things you can do at home during the ritual.

6. After the ritual

Ask in advance whether photos or a recording will be shared afterwards, and whether prasad can be sent to you — [TODO: confirm prasad dispatch to each country, delivery times and charges].

Handling time zones

Muhurats are calculated in Indian Standard Time (IST, UTC+5:30), and the ritual is performed at Nalkheda at that time. Depending on where you live, that may be early morning or late at night for you. Some rough examples:

Where you live Typical difference from IST
UK IST is 4½–5½ hours ahead
USA (East Coast) IST is 9½–10½ hours ahead
USA (West Coast) IST is 12½–13½ hours ahead
Canada (Toronto) IST is 9½–10½ hours ahead
UAE IST is 1½ hours ahead
Australia (Sydney) IST is 4½–5½ hours behind
Singapore IST is 2½ hours behind

Differences change with daylight saving, so always confirm the time in your own time zone when booking. Rajguru Ji is used to working with devotees abroad and will help you find a time that is both suitable for the ritual and possible for you.

Country-specific guidance is available for devotees in the USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia and Singapore.

What you need at home

You do not need elaborate arrangements. Many devotees simply prepare:

  • A clean, quiet place to sit facing the screen.
  • A small lamp (diya) and, if you wish, incense.
  • A picture of Maa Baglamukhi.
  • Something yellow to wear, as yellow is associated with Pitambara Maa (optional).
  • A glass of water and a few flowers or a sweet as a simple offering.
  • A stable internet connection and a charged phone, tablet or laptop.

If you cannot sit for the whole ritual, tell Rajguru Ji. What matters is your sincere presence during the sankalp and the final prayers.

Can my family in India attend in person while I join online?

Yes, this is common. Parents or relatives in India can attend at Nalkheda while family members abroad join by video. Tell Rajguru Ji when you book so the sankalp can include everyone. If your relatives are travelling from Indore, our Indore to Nalkheda one-day plan may help.

Is online participation "as valid" as being there?

Devotees often ask this. In the tradition, the sankalp — the sincere intention offered before the deity in your name — is central to the ritual, and that is spoken in full whether you are present or far away. Many devotees abroad feel deeply connected watching their sankalp being offered at Nalkheda.

At the same time, we will not overstate it. If you are able to visit Nalkheda one day for darshan, many devotees find that a very special experience. Online participation is a sincere way to take part when travel is not possible.

A few practical tips from devotees abroad

  • Set two alarms if the ritual falls in the middle of your night, and join a few minutes early.
  • Use headphones so you can hear the mantras clearly, especially if others at home are asleep.
  • Keep your camera on if you are comfortable, so Rajguru Ji can see you during the sankalp — but it is not required.
  • Tell family members in advance so the room stays quiet for the duration.
  • Note the guidance afterwards. If Rajguru Ji suggests a simple mantra or a practice to continue at home, write it down straight away.

Honest expectations

Whether you attend in person or online, a puja or havan is an act of faith performed to seek Maa Baglamukhi's grace, peace and inner strength. No legal, financial, health or other outcome can be guaranteed. Please continue to take practical steps — legal advice, medical care, careful decisions — alongside your prayer. Be cautious of any service that promises guaranteed results for a fee.

  3. What is the dakshina, what does it include, and how can I pay from abroad?
  4. Which video app will be used, and can we test it beforehand?
  5. Will photos or a recording be shared afterwards?
  6. Can prasad be sent to my country, and how long does it take?
  7. What should I prepare at home?
